I realized I never posted this painting from this summer… We enjoyed this fire while camping at Dardinelles Lake with my family. Is there any better way to spend a cool evening that sitting around a warm fire in some beautiful, remote place?

For some reason a chorus to song jump in my brain ” Smokey the Bear, Smokey the Bear prowling and growling and sniffing the air”
Ha! Smokey didn’t find us, but he wouldn’t let us get away with a fire now that everything is dry and crispy. I’d love to paint some rain soon…
