Naples Coastline Looking South

What a quiet, serene place to paint…  the only company was a few lines of pelicans that sailed by catching the thermals rising up the cliffs and the cormorants out sunning their wings on the rocks in the surf.  That is Coal Oil Point up on the horizon.

Low Tide at Hendry’s Beach

It was a beautiful low tide when I made this one.  I saw a shark egg with the baby shark and yoke still inside in one of the tide pools.  Enjoy your day, everyone!

The Green Season


When I first moved from Tahoe to Goleta I thought there were no seasons here… after all, any time of the year you could wear shorts and flip flops and maybe a sweatshirt if it got cold.  I painted these same trees about three months ago with a palette of oranges, reds, siennas and ochres.  What a difference a season makes…
